Fencing here
San Marcos is the seat of Hays County, on I-35 between New Braunfels and Austin and home to Texas State University. The spring-fed San Marcos River runs through town. There are a lot of rental properties here, so repairs and quick replacements are a big share of fence work.
The ground
The Balcones Escarpment runs through San Marcos, with limestone hills on the west side and prairie clay to the east. The same city can need rock drilling on one lot and deep clay-proof posts on the next.
Rules to check
The City of San Marcos sets its own fence rules, so check with the city before building. Low areas near the river and creeks may be in floodplain or drainage easements, and those have extra rules.
Popular projects
Repairs and replacements on rental properties, privacy fences, chain link for dogs, and gate repairs.

Common questions
I'm a landlord. Can I get a repair quote without being on site?
Often a contractor can start from photos and a description, then visit to confirm. Mention access details and any tenant contact in your request.
